We went here on a free open day. None of us had kids but still had fun with the dress up box :) would be a lovely place to bring children lots of fun with learning elements.

What a wonderful insight into the past. Lots of fun, options for children. lots of information, nice formal garden and old ruins. Using the earphones gives all the information that you may need - the guide is worth buying too - don't put it down and leave it as I did. Helpful staff and German spoken. The cafe was very... More

I have been a few times and it never loses its magic. I specially love the garden at the back. The scents take you back in time. It's a small building but it holds a big history

A beautifully preserved building hidden within the old town, you should make a point of visiting here to appreciate the building and the re-created gardens, and also the ruins that are linked to the old city walls. Only open until 3pm on week days, £5 entry fee is very reasonable especially if you take the free audio tour as well.... More

I didn't visit for the museum, so can't comment on that. But on an early spring day the garden was a fabulous oasis of colour and calm. Birds were drinking from the fountain, the peonies and irises were in bloom and the whole ambience was charming. The cafe food is basic but well prepared and nicely served by helpful and... More

I was married here in 2012!!! It is a lovely building with a significant historical past in SOuthampton's past. The museum displays add a lot of value and a flavour of the past.

I took my parents who are visiting from Germany to the Tudor House and Garden. This is one of my favourite places in Southampton. It's like stepping back in time without all the mud, grime and smell. Upon entering the house, the 'ghosts of the past' will welcome you to the house in a little audio presentation. The house is... More

I really enjoyed my trip to the Tudor House. The orientation presentation in the Main Hall is excellent and gives worthwhile context to the rest of the exhibit. The garden is charming; the guide panels and the audio-guide complement each other well.

Last visited there many years ago and I remembered at least some of the rooms furnished or partially furnished. Pretty sure there were also suits of armour. Whilst the building is of interest, it seems mostly to be text extracts to be read, or the audio tour. Not much to see. There is a sedan chair, visible if you look... More
