A great break on a hot afternoon, walking through the Winnal Moors preserve was like stepping into a country landscape, despite being just a few blocks from the high street. The paths are well marked and wide enough to walk two abreast. We wandered but...More

This is a lovely little nature reserve very close to the heart of Winchester - maybe 10 minutes' walk from the cathedral. We found it because it was on the walk in from the Premier Inn, and across the road from the very nice Willow...More

This is not an attraction that you plan a whole trip around. It's a relatively small nature reserve with well kept walkways and interesting details in the form of carved benches and occasional sculptures. It's a beautiful example of the local countryside and a peaceful...More

A great place to go for a walk. There is a lot to look at and the trail goes off in different directions so you can explore. Go here often with friends to just talk and be away from the city.

Massive fields just outside Winchester city centre are home to a nature reserve and a marked trail where you are able to see all kinds of wildlife and Birdlife. Great on a clear dry day.

This a relatively small but beautiful nature reserve an ideal place to idle away an hour or so. No dogs are allowed. An oasis in Winchester.

Two hours to spend but not looking round shops. Close to the town centre, park in Derndate car park. It was a rainy day but lots to see both feathered and fury. One review said you could walk round it in twenty minutes, no doubt...More
