Brilliantly preserved house with many interesting artifacts and the tour guide was excellent. The grounds were immaculately kept and St. Mary's church was fantastic. Definitely worth a visit.

We're so glad you agree with William Cobbett! We had an extra busy Sunday the day you came. Sorry we are not able to take cards - we have such poor signal out here in the country. Thank you so much for visiting.

We had not heard of the tiny village of Avington set only six miles outside of Winchester had it not been for a Groupon offer. This house is still occupied by its present owners and is available for weddings and functions. Jeremy gave us a...More

Lovely place to pop in and have a Cream Tea in the Orangery, or if weather permits on the terrace. Check their web site for opening hours and note they only take cash or cheques.
