Visited a long time ago walked around taking everything in,saw the chained library,then went back the following year to take in laws to see the kappa mundi.defenately worth a visit,also has concerts and you can go in when choir is practicing

Knowledgeable staff were there to talk about both the Mappa and the chained library. Excellent exhibition enables you to learn about the Mappa and see the English translation before you reach the real thing and the original wooden frame. The chained library is fascinating.

there is a fee to see the mappa mundi but its a piece of history so well worth seeing and there are lots in there to see and a shop where you can buy sovrniers

Definitely worth a visit! We spent a good hour looking at the Mappa Mundi and the chained library. We went early before it got too busy. The cathedral guides in the different talked to us at length about the history of both the Mappa Mundi...More
