Visited on Tuesday 12th September. It was great to be able to view part of this building without scaffolding covering it as the renovation works move on. The lawn area around is a quiet place away from this busy city heart. Well worth a visit.

Visited initially with the aim to see the Mappa Mundi and Chained Library exhibitions but found the Cathedral itself a lovely compliment with beautiful old and new stained glass windows and interesting art, along with floral displays and historical graves. Lots of explanatory notes around...More

Wander in here as I had a few hours to kill. Fantastic building to walk round, tours are available. There is also a new memorial to 22 Special Air Service Regiment.

Fantastic, well maintained cathedral. Lucky enough to catch a musical rehearsal which was truly inspiring.

We visited the cathedral especially to see the fairly new Ascension focal piece to the Special Air Service. A lovely blue stained glass window (made from 3000 pieces of glass) rises above an attractive blue apse (the stone is from Brazil). Informative brochures are at...More

Very enjoyable visit. So much to see, modern exhibition alongside the ancient so felt very relevant. Very welcoming and the cathedral looked very well loved.

I’m not a religious person, but I do like old buildings. Such as Cathedrals. This one is well preserved with active preservation projects going on. It’s warm, with massive heaters doing a fantastic job in this cool weather. The exhibition of metal sculptures were interesting...More
