An excellent audio guide provides an interesting and informative commentary to get the most from a visit to this historic cathedral. There is restoration work ongoing and it is an impressive edifice. A must see in Canterbury.

The volunteers are very friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The cathedral and grounds are well worth visiting, will be even better when restoration work is complete

Unlike many other cathedrals, Canterbury charges visitors just to enter the precincts rather than to enter the Cathedral itself. They do not offer a reduction either if one just wants to walk around the precincts. As when one is walking around the cathedral one is not causing any wear and tear, this seems to be unreasonable.

Cannot rate this place highly enough. Location 100%, great breakfast, parking a bit of an issue unless you book early as spaces limited. Public parking nearby in plentiful supply so not a big issue. Would use again if staying in Canterbury.

Canterbury Cathedral is a beautiful place to visit, so much history and wonder, whether you choose to join a guided tour or look around on your own you will be amazed. The stained glass windows are awesome, everyone is welcome.

It's been a long time since I visited Canterbury Cathedral but I wanted to leave a review because when we were in England we visited a lot of historical churches and cathedrals. Canterbury Cathedral was the one that felt the least like a tourist attraction and the most like a place of worship. There is a reverence to God that... More

A must if you are viditing Canterbury. For me as a resident it is free to enter. However, a visitor has to pay what I think is a bit too much. When we go to other countries entry to their Cathedrals is free. They too, have all the chllengies of upkeep.

We agree that a visit to our very special Cathedral is 'a must' and hope you enjoy your unlimited free access as a Canterbury resident. Although visitor income is our most important source of income, it only represents approx. 1/3 of the annual income needed to ensure the Cathedral is a beautiful as well as safe place to visit and... This place has so many aspects to it. It is very beautiful. An encyclopedia of architecture. Rich in history and drama. The finest collection of medieval stained glass. Deep spirituality. Every corner is rich is aspects of fascination in one form or another. Wonderful music.
