Rain or sunshine a great place for a walk

No matter what the weather is doing this is a great place for an hours stroll and with a kiosk serving a very good hot chocolate at the end it gets even better.

Have been here many times. Very relaxing to stroll along the seafront under the cliffs or along the sea wall. Great for dog walks too. Tom Hardy recently filmed the Sky advert here, so must be good!

My girlfriend and I visited Samphire Hoe for a walk and fresh air, and were disappointed to find the sea front promenade was closed although the weather was reasonable. There are some lovely views but including the surrounding cliffs.

Whenever we visit samphire hoe we love it. You will drive down through a steep tunnel and it will feel like you have left the rest of the world at the top of the cliff. It is so peaceful and if you go to the right when you make your way down the slop and turn to the right. Right... More

Now I know what happened to all of the soil from the channel tunnel, it was used to make the Samphire Hoe. Great place to visit and enjoy the walks, admire the view, the animals and the wild flowers. The education centre is full of books specifically made up to educate children but my wife and I found them of... More

Alas it was a cloudy murky cold day when we came here, and nothing is at its best then. I had brought friends from abroad who wanted to see the white cliffs of Dover, but here they are not all white of course. Probably you need to walk by the sea walk some distance to get better views, but my... More

Just outside Dover, the waste from the Channel Tunnel has been made into a nature reserve, nice quiet peaceful, kiosk type cafe, very friendly.

Plenty of wildlife to see and enjoyable walks along paths and onto beach. You have to pay a small fee for parking but a nice little cafe for a cuppa after a stroll or walk.
