We were lucky as the building was open to the public the day we were walking about. A local lady pointed that out for all to see.

It's a grand historic town hall, and it's well worth visiting the interior. There is a board nearby to explain the history behind the building.

Real feeling of history in the atmosphere of this building, and virtually next door to the Chapel of St Edmund that opened in 1215AD. Place where the local weddings take place, quite charming.

We went to a wedding here and were pleasantly surprised how nice the interior was. We had dinner in one hall and the disco in another. Both were lovely and the staff was ever so helpful and nice.
