Located in Hull, The Deep is an award winning aquarium home to 3,500 fish including green sawfish, spectacular sharks, rays and a colony of Gentoo penguins. Journey through the story of the world's oceans travelling through a unique blend of spectacular marine life from warm tropical waters to the cold Antarctic seas. Enjoy the fun and educational interactive and audio-visual presentations on your voyage of discovery. Highlights include daily dive shows and animal presentations where you can see our divers hand feed the animals. Join in with our fantastic touch pool sessions at Discovery Corner at the Lagoon of Light and learn about some of the smaller native species to the UK shores. Visit The Deep's newest residents, a colony of Gentoo penguins in chilly The Kingdom of Ice and learn more about the threats to their habitat, issues surrounding climate change and ocean acidification as well as animal biology and food chains. Finally walk through the amazing glass tunnel and take in the stunning marine life swimming all around you, before taking a ride in the glass lift through the 10m Endless Oceans exhibit. We spent nearly all day here. Lots to see and do. The aquariums were brilliant. Really good "deep"artment store, or shop!

I visited with my husband and two small children 2 & 4 years both boys. Sunday visit quietish booked online as cheaper ,car park £2 for 4 hours and once in the deep can go back out to top up car park if necessary. Plenty to see, lots for the kids to do, good cafeteria. Went to an amazing wedding there too! The penguins 🐧 were gorgeous.

Had a lovely few hours out at Hull visiting the deep. We started off by joining the ticket queue in the car park! although the queue moved regularly it still took around 30/40 minutes to get into the attraction. Very well layed out and lots to see, for all ages. Small displays, huge tanks with a great variety of sea life, and some quite interesting 3D TV videos.

The tickets are not exactly dirt cheap - but they do give you free entry for the next year which, assuming you are either local or around long enough to re-use them is truly excellent value! The venue is like many Sealife type centres and will not throw up many surprises, apart from how handy it is being just outside... More

We visited The Deep at Easter so understandably it was busy. We queued in the car park and inside the entrance for about 30-40 minutes. This is a great place to visit for all ages. But a ticket and keep going as many times as you like for a year is a brilliant idea! Great place to visit.
