Very friendly welcome and great selection of beers. Outside area to rear catches the evening sun; perfect to relax with a beer, or two, after walking on the fells.

Friendly local no nonsense pub, popular with locals, students and visitors. 7 beers/cider mainly from Robinsons. All of them always in tip top condition. No food except for pork pies and scotch eggs, but these are made by the local butcher and from local farms.

This unpretentious pub just off the main street offers a good range of beers and pub grub. The bar staff will let you sample the beer and welcome visitors and locals alike. Worth a visit.

Friendly bar staff, tasty ales, dogs galore and a great landlord makes for the number one pub in the lake district.

Popped in at the end of a days walking to find a warm fir, friendly staff and locals, a good whiskey selection AND a free beer. Top marks!

A proper pub simple as that! Real Fire... No music... No TV... Just what a pub should be... Excellent.
