A wonderful walk. Manageable for children. It took us four hours including a hefty lunch break. This is my favourite walk, the views are stunning very quickly due to the relatively steep climb. the best views and some great food and the lake great the hills where hard and the roads where long. The ferry ride across the lake was really nice
Good not too challenging walk with some excellent scenery. I think we went slightly to far out away from the Tarn itself and ended up having to cross a small river which was a bit hairy. Also my daughter fell into a bog up to her waist!

We had not been to Grasmere before. What a find! Slightly off the beaten track but still easy to get to. The tarn and surrounding fells are the ideal day out for keen walkers. There are some steep parts to the path but it is very well maintained indeed so you won't get lost!
This is a great walk for views waterfalls and the tarn itself. We did the circular route with our daughter and dogs and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.
