Visited here during our stay at the lakes. I would recommended taking the tour of the house. Very informative and the staff member who took the tour was very enthusiastic. The building is steeped in history. The gardens are beautiful. Especially loved the acers, magnificent....More

Fantastic gardens and grounds to walk around. Called Sunday morning and spent a very pleasant few hours visiting here. Cafe on site for refreshments.

Lovely gardens and house - a pleasant visit - some interesting commentary from Norman who was eager to impart his knowledge - not sure about the stonemasons mark! -would recommend for a half day visit

Visited with young kids who really enjoyed the garden- especially the rock garden spotting tadpoles and dragonflies by the big pond. The house was interesting- there were 2 kids trails which they enjoyed. Toilets clean, excellent car park. Cafe was very busy so can.t comment....More

There isn’t a play park or anything that is aimed at entertaining really young children.
