Well worth the visit. However if it is raining there is nothing to do except cruise by boats. We spent about hour and rains started pouring :(

Lake windermere is always stunning as the weather changes so often offering a different view of this lovely area, low cloud, bright sunlight, atmospheric clouds all add to create beautiful scenes. The down side is parking charges and it is so Busy.

I agree with Mark B. However please be aware that Windermere Town And Station are 1- 1.5 miles from Lake Windermere. The nearest access point on the Lake to the station is Bowness on Windermere.
