Biggest of the 'lakes'. Beautiful views and lots to do here. There is a Car Ferry that crosses the lake from Bowness, perfect for that trip to 'Hill Top', the house where Beatrix Potter lived.

Lake Windermere is a must visit place. The scenery is stunning and there are plenty of beautiful walks along its shores. Walking can be combined with a boat ride to the start or finishing point. Delightful.

Such a beautiful place to visit. Lots to see and do and even better when the weather is dry. A cruise on the lake is a must.

The lake is absolutely beautiful surrounded by many interesting buildings and nature. If travelling to England this must be at the top of your list to visit. There is so much too see and do, and if take cruses even better.

It has a nice marina. Boating facilities available. The history of the lake & boats well documented. Try the walking trails around the lake. Really nice ones. Nice restaurants near the marina. Worth a visit when in Lake District

The lake is 10.5 miles long and easily accessible by boat. The town itself is a short but steep walk away from the lake.
