Went on to pier during the week and could see at the end the boards had been replaced and work was continuing to replace others. One old board I stepped on did bend so maybe better to close it off until completed.

Recently stayed in Blackpool and we had a walk along the North pier. Just glad we had not paid to go on the little train which takes you to the end of the pier as nothing there! Work is in progress replacing the wooden boards as it appeared unsafe and cordoned off. Perhaps when work completed it will be worth... More

This pier is quite long and has, apart from the usual pier attractions, a theatre, which puts on shows by well-known entertainers.

Gem of a place if a little old fashioned. Decent and clean arcade at the front, lovely little train carrying people along the pier. The jewel in Blackpools crown has to be the vintage carousel. My little girl adored it. Had a lovely hot chocolate in the bar.
