Blackpool Zoo is a family friendly attraction, providing fun and education for all ages. Situated only 2 miles inland the Promenade, the park is easily accessible from the M55 motorway. Over 1000 animals, birds and reptiles reside in a scenic 32 acre park amidst mature trees, lakes and spacious lawns where the kids can burn off their excess energy. All your favourites are here including big cats, elephants, giraffes, sealions, gorillas, orangutans, camels, zebras and many, many more. Opened in 2014, the new Orangutan Outlook allows visitors to get up close and personal with these charismatic apes. Open daily (except Christmas Day) from 10 am, the park's closing times vary seasonally.

Very impressed with the work that's been carried out over the last ten years and is continuing. A new elephant area is currently being constructed on ground that is not in use already. The management of this attraction has strived to improve a rundown attraction and has been really successful in doing so.

Went for the first time in over 30 years with my sister and our elderly mother. We borrowed a wheelchair free of charge but with a small refundable deposit. We all had a lovely day. The highlight of my visit was the sea lion demonstration and our mum loved the limas. The animals looked very well kept and cared for.

A lot to see, the zoo is very large and takes a while to get round everything but well worth it. The talks led by the staff for selected animals are engaging and informative, and kept fairly short as not to steal the show. Loved the sea lion performance, it's clear there is a strong bond between animal and trainer.... More

Good range of animals.Sealiin show entertaining. Would like to see animal feed for sale so children could feed the animals in the farm yard. Expensive day out but enjoyable.

Lovely zoo, not too big for little legs and plenty of variety of animals. Kept us entertained for a good 5hrs we were there. Fab sealion show. My little boy also had a private insect/snake session with his pre school friends that he really enjoyed. Good play area for the little ones too.

A fantastic day out and well worth it. The sea lion display was fantastic. It's a shame that even though people were told to remain seated throughout the display that children were running about! Staff were helpful with information about the animals. At present there is only one elephant at the zoo but they have plans to bring in more... More

I visited with my wife, 6 year old daughter, 3 year old daughter and my elderly mother. It was a great reception area, just a shame about the parking fee of £2. We where greeted warmly and the site was modern and in places nice and new. The attractions and animals where both educational and interesting. It's nice to see... More
