It's worth going to Abbey park as it's a lovely place to walk and relax but Leicester Abbey ruins are nothing to write home about. Still doesn't take anything away from a visit to the park though.

Good place to relax with any one. Good for all ages & can relax in the green grass having feeling the breeze around.

This is a very popular place located against the river Soar. It is a ruin but it is easy to imagine what a wonderful lace this must have been in its heyday. I used to play around here 75 years ago and still return on...More

Mainly go to take the little one and the big kid - other half to feed the ducks. Nice open space for little one to enjoy herself and take nice quiet walks

On its own it's okay but as part of the Abbey park experience it's very very nice. Not much information available on the Abbey itself.

A great day out in good weather! Explore the history behind the ruins of this medieval abbey while strolling among beautiful greenery and along the river Soar too. There's a cafe near by too and kids can feed the ducks and geese.

ok for a week-end visit. pluses: great landscape, historical ruins, fresh air, species of plants to study, peace and quiet minus: if the weather is hot, you can suffer from dehidration, nearest place where you can get some water is actually not so close...
