A really interesting visit, there is a lot to see within the cathedral and was surprisingly moved to stand by the beautiful tomb of Richard III.

Free entry with suggested donation if you can/want. A cathedral. What more would you want to know? Well, King Richard III is buried here.

It's surprising to me that Leicester Cathedral is as small as it is and actually, as cathedrals go, rather unremarkable architecturally. I wasn't keen on the two new modern stained glass windows but then I'm something of a traditionalist. On the plus side, however the...More

I liked it BECAUSE it is so simple inside, the points of interest and friendly staff shone out. It felt welcoming and lacked the pomposity of some Cathedrals. The guides were enthusiastic and knowledgeable, I look forward to visiting again.

Not beautiful when compared to most cathedral's, hidden away centrally but has a nice ambience and sound inside.Wouldn't make my top 10 (not even my top 100 cathedrals)

Visited the cathedral after seeing the Richard III exhibition & was impressed by friendly staff who gave us helpful info to guide our visit. Ceilings & Windows are impressive but the main attraction is King Richard's tomb & the highly embroidered coffin cover.

This is right next door to the Richard III Visitor Center. You just walk across a park area and there you are. It's a very appropriate place to consider the whole Richard III story.

It is such a pity that it took King Richard III to put small-but-beautifully-formed St Martin's Cathedral on the map. It is a lovely place. Fabulous painted ceilings, bosses and carved angels. Beautiful stained glass windows: a memorial window for the casualties of WW1 and...More
