Completed in 1978 this is the largest Anglican cathedral in Europe. Inside, the lack of adornments only adds to vastness of the "great space." A combination of elevator and stairs takes visitors to the exterior heights of the tower and some grand views of the city and landscapes below. A small fee is required for the vista experience.

Church service

Amazing place to visit whether a church service or just to look around , there's an amazing little cafe and shop that sells a lot of Liverpool related bits and bobs

We first saw the Cathedral in the evening, a huge red brick slab with a tower rather than a spire, giving the impression of a fortress. We returned in the morning to visit the inside, and appreciate the impressive colours of the stained glass. It is the largest cathedral in Britain, having taken the first three quarters of the twentieth... More

Arrived 10 min before closing so just ran through the building without digging much into detail. But definitely interesting place with history and human effort to build it. located close to China town

This is a beautiful Cathedral, you see stained glass windows as you enter and they had a full orchestra playing. We elected to take the tour to the top (small charge). You take an elevator then go up many steps, the views are breathtaking from the top.

This is by far the biggest cathedral I've ever seen! It makes you feel so small. When the sun goes down the cathedral is beautifully lit..magical :)

Absolutely enormous space, was well worth a visit. The Stained glass is really amazing, as was the organ, we were lucky enough to hear it being played. Well worth popping in!
