Unfortunately, two of the galleries were closed on our visit, the staff are very helpful and approacheable. Constantly changinging exhibition programmes. Great location in the Albert Dock. Good shop and cafe.

I often don't 'get' modern art so was pleasantly surprised with our visit. We visited Constilation which is a very eclectic mix of art with some pieces I hated and some I thought were extraordinary... Even the kids were interested which I was unsure about. We visited My Bed again which I expected to hate but which was more interesting... More

I went, I tried to understand but I just don't get it. A bed, a unmade bed with a crap ton of rubbish around it. SERIOUSLY

I went around here for about an hour to look around the artwork that's on display. This was the first time I had been to the Tate and whilst it served its purpose as an art gallery, the modern art they had on display was literally terrible! I know not everything is going to be to my taste but some... More

Interesting pieces and some good reading about the history of the works and the artists. The place was welcoming and the staff were very helpful

Was frankly a bit let down given it has the Tate brand - nice building and some interesting exhibits but thought it might offer more

Difficult for me to really judge this spacious museum fairly as I'm not the least bit enthusiastic about modern art. Tracey Emin's bed didn't thrill me one bit when it was first mooted as art and nothing has changed since. The bed is here (still unmade. ha ha!) If this is indeed her bed, and she really lives like this,... More

Loved our visit and joined as a member which means we can visit any Tate museum. Spent far longer than we had intended and really enjoyed the experience. Cloak rooms downstairs for coats with £1 return coin which helps get rid of any baggage so u can browse and enjoy. Exhibits laid out well. Lovely building. originally went for the... More
