Back in the 80's this used to be one of the best parks in Liverpool. I lived locally and often visited to enjoy the beautiful gardens, herbaceous border, greenhouses etc. Just been back today and so sad to see the sorry state it's in today. The City Council should hang it's head in shame for letting a once lovely park... More

I heard a review of the ice cream parlour on Radio Merseyside and since its not only a sunny day but also my birthday, my sister and I popped along this afternoon to sample a scoop or two (or three). We were not disappointed; the ice cream was fabulous, the choice of flavours pretty magical and the staff were absolutely... More

Lovely Large park with so many different parts to it. A lake to feed the ducks, massive open grassland to run or relax. Good paths in excellent order for prams and bikes, walled gardens, toilets and a coffee shop make it a perfect place to visit for a few hours. Oh, and children will the swings and slides. Just don't... More

This park has so much to offer and I've been coming since I was a child. From the walled Old English Garden to the Japanese Garden, the children's play area, the rose garden, the little vintage train, the lake, the old house, the art gallery to one of the oldest oak trees! The four lady statues signifying the four seasons... More

Took an early stroll through Calderstones Park but the weather was not very good very damp & muddy so we kept it to a minimum. We also visited the wood working site in the Old Boat House very impressive and thank you to Steve Jackson for showing us around and spending time talking about their activities and wood working courses...
