We went to the O2 to see Elvis with the Philharmonic Orchestra. The show was fantastic but the venue was most disappointing. We have been to the O2 many times and always enjoyed it however this time the security arrangements were appalling. There were not enough security scanners for the amount of people attending. The walk around to Gate H... More

My disabled friend and I visited the ATP tennis at the O2 and bought disabled tickets. We had to walk for at least 10 minutes to our seats and then were greeted with an enormous crowd of people and an escalator. No thought had been given to our needs!

Went for a gig at The O2, as expected great venue. Lots of amenities, easy to get to exactly what you want from a first class music venue.

Came to see the Red Hot Chilli Peppers- this was my first concert at O2. North Greenwich tube station adjoins the arena which is so convenient- many bars and restaurants, which all looked busy (we didn't use any though...). Arrived as the gates opened for entry, no food or drink allowed to be brought into the arena, bags are searched... More

First time in the o2 to see Justin Bieber , 420 row d , we were right up at the back and it was VERY high, I wouldn't recommend these seats to anyone who is afraid of heights, absolutely huge venue and a perfect place for converts

Went to the o2 to see the red hot chilli peppers on Monday the 5th December and arrived about an hour before the gates opened as we had passes to the sky backstage bar. Security was efficient and friendly as we're the bar Staffin the sky lounge. We had seats in the top tier of the dome with great views... More

Went on Sunday for the jingle bell ball, the o2 was all set with a Christmas feel, the Coca Cola truck was outside, there were little food stalls like a mini Christmas market. There was a good selection of restaurants, all fairly busy so a wait was due. There was an o2 stand with people giving out bags with chocolate,... More

I was involved the the Grime Live event and this was my first time attending anything at Indigo, as such I will write about it from an attendees view point. Arrival was easy, getting there well organized, and waiting for it to open is undercover and shielded from the worst of the elements, although not exactly warm as just under... More

Staying in Greenwich

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
