We visited the museum after getting a 2 for 1 leaflet in one of the information centres we visited. I went with my 8 year old daughter and we had a great afternoon out. However, as it was school holidays it was really busy and we felt really rushed to look at stuff. To make the museum even better I... More

Went up to London specifically to see this as my wife is a great fan of the books. The visit did not disappoint and both of us had a wonderful time looking round the exhibits. We went on a Friday and it was fairly quiet so no congestion or difficuty in looking at the items on display. My wife bought... More

Having read mixed reviews, we got hold of discounted tickets for our group (2 adults and two children aged 9 and 11). Saturday afternoon, but not too busy, we made our way through the floors at our own pace which was probably faster than average. Definitely some of the exhibits were interesting, others less so. We liked the interactive ones... More

Me and my boyfriend went on a Saturday evening, probably near closing time as it was empty, which is great as we got to look at everything! I recommend this to anyone, especially later in the evening when it is less busy as you do get to look at everything without waiting for people to move and etc

Went to Ripleys believe it or not and it was so much fun as well as fascinating!! It is expensive but its like helping fund a museum with things that are weird and wonderful in and there are a lot of things to do and interact with! Would definitely recommend.

Advised to visit by a friend and found it FASCINATING!!! Perfect for a 2/3 hour visit although avoid the Mirror Maize unless you enjoy these, you are charged for entry. Overall a little expensive but I'm an old pensioner and need to watch the pennies.

We went here on a whim as we were passing and had a couple of hours to kill, having paid an extremely high entrance fee, we were not impressed with what we got for the money. We found that the foyer was the best bit and that was free.

Half term entertainment with our 7yr old daughter who loves the London show Wicked. This time they made a special feature week including plenty from the show. All of the exhibits are well presented, quite amazing, and you have to really question 'if you believe it or not?' Allow 2-4hrs to walk around depending on how much you stop and... More

Visited Ripley's with a friend and we had a great time. The mirror maze was a blast and all the interactive games were a lot of fun. We had a blast. But.. we almost did not go. I though I was gonna keel over when I saw the normal prices at the door. Very, very, very expensive for what it... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
