Booked a coach from Heathrow Airport to Cardiff. Most unhelpful staff. I missed my bus by 10 mins as immigration took 4 hours as well as my flight landed late. They were most inflexible to help me re schedule. The person assisting me tried to explain how he was doing me a favor by saving my money by advising me to book online rather than on the phone but was not at all bothered by the money I had already paid for the missed bus. It was not even a weekend for this unceremonious attitude and inflexibility. While I tried to book online again the price surged. This is ripping the customer off. Least they can do is offer a refund.

British Airways cancelled our flight from Gatwick to Glasgow and we had to go to Heathrow to get connecting flight.

Very helpful lady and gentleman in their base at Gatwick.

bus arrived on time and very polite staff on bus.

Would certainly recommend this service

Worst customer service. Best to get the train. Given the uncertain times we paid extra for a “fully refundable” ticket. We couldn’t get the second bus so I tried to cancel online to which I was told “you can’t cancel the return trip... only the outgoing trip”. I don’t see how this is “fully refundable”. Would have saved money and time by getting the train.

We had a terrible experience bus 594 edinbrugh to london, we paid for a seat in front coz we wanna be comfortable. The driver did not allow us to sit in front he yelled at us "Out! Out! Thats my stuff"!
So basically he wanted to have a distance with passengers, so he reserved that seat for his stuff eventhough online booking allowed us to reserve those seats.
We felt embarrased in front of other passengers. We understand his point, but it could have been avoided if he communicated properly instead of being so aggressive and yelling at us.
And just to add up, driver claimed he wanted distance, but in every stops he talked to other passengers outside without face covering. So i hope its not because of my skin color.

I’d booked in advance a transfer from Stanstead airport into London through Ryanair, it was so simple and a comfortable ride into London with out any fuss or hassle. I guess we were lucky the roads were quiet but in 1 hour 25 minutes I was at Victoria. A very good value transfer.

We travelled from Plymouth to London Heathrow Airport and everything was spot on. Coach was bang on time, drivers were both informative and very helpful and the journey was safe and efficient. Coach was very clean and comfortable.

It seems that National Express has reached new low in the way it treats its passenger. I had a trip booked yesterday from Newcastle to London Victoria, a journey of 8 hours with multiple stops is excruciating enough, to add to it the incompetence and rudeness of the NX staff it becomes simply unbearable.
Here's what happened exactly, about an hour after leaving Newcastle the coach came to a stand still on the M1 due to a fatal accident on the M1, understandably it's not the NX fault, but you would expect that a nationwide transport company should be better informed or at least connected to the British Transport Police, so they could either reroute or at least keep their passengers updated, however, none of this happened, and consequently we were stuck for 5 long hours on the M1 in the middle of nowhere.
To add insult to injury, shortly after moving at 3:00pm, which is the time we were supposed to be in London, the coach moved for about 16 miles to reach Leeds bus station, where we were told to leave the coach and wait by a very rude driver, to use his exact words: "I'm now stuck with you ain't I?" This wait went on for hours, until finally they were able to squeeze us on an already overcrowded coach, like they never heard of the ongoing pandemic and the legal requirement of social distancing.
To make things worse, on a very short stop on the motorway just outside of Leicester to change the driver, the driver's incompetence and inability to say a simple sentence to tell passengers that this is not a break, meant that few customers left the coach, including one elderly lady who went to buy a drink from a close by coffee shop, but the driver left regardless, only to discover that he had left a passenger behind after another passenger raised the alarm.
I really think that NX should get a grip, and start treating passengers with dignity, even couriers who carry cattle and livestock show more respect to the animals they transport.
It's no wonder with this kind of service that they have been slowly being replaced by other companies.
I WILL NEVER USE NX AGAIN.

Got a ticket for the bus from Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport on Tuesday 19th October. Although the tracking app showed the bus was on the way it actually never arrived. I tried to contact the customer service via live chat but no one got back to me. After waiting an extra 15 min I then decided to get the train from Liverpool Street in order to avoid missing my flight. I contacted the customer service which replied to me after 10 days and instead of apologising and provide me with the refund, they said they had to investigate as it seems that the tracking information on the website was an issue with that specific vehicle's tracker, as National Express cannot view the information to see whether the service operated correctly.

They asked the depot which ran this service to look into this and provide their records of the service in question, including any delays.

I’m still waiting to hear back after 14 days since the day the bus did not arrive. I’ll never use National Express again - Absolute joke!

Took the National Express from London Stansted Airport to Ipswich, Suffolk on 31st October 2021 at 6.40pm. We were greeted by a cheerful driver with a cracking sense of humour! Got us in Ipswich ahead of schedule by 10mns!
Have never had a single bad experience with National Express Coaches, they offer good value for money and are reliable! And they have some excellent drivers! Thank you Winny!
