All aboard the ‘orrible omnibus for a ride around the dark side of London....

All aboard the ‘orrible omnibus for a ride around the dark side of London. The Ghost Bus Tours’ classic Routemaster has been redesigned to give passengers London’s first ‘Fright Bus’ service. On-board actors and technical trickery combine to create the scariest tour in town. A creepy conductor provides the commentary for this sinister sightseeing show, revealing haunted places, unmarked burial grounds and the skeletons in the capital’s cupboard.

Extremely cheesy would not recommend for anyone. Passengers kept getting off at every stop to get away. By the time we got back to the starting point only a handful left.

It wasn't a history lesson of London or scary enough to have you hiding under the seats but it was a very enjoyable trip around London with a bit of history, a bit of gore and some amusing bits all served up in a slightly spooky atmosphere. It was a fun way to spend (about) an hour and suitable for... More

Read a few that describes the experience as 'bizzare' & I'd have to agree! But a fabulously fun tour with a few jumps & intentionally creepy staff who were really friendly when back in their 'normal' roles. Would definitely recommend!

Sat just inside the back door (if there was one)left open for the duration of the trip , we were frozen. Told to look out the window and you will see xyz however the curtain was stapled closed so we couldn't see anything. A few measly stories and walk round a graveyard. Very disappointed and we are not hard to... More

Having seen this bus on previous visits to London we decided to book using tesco vouchers. We boarded at 9pm and at first thought it was so good, the conductor was really funny and gave us some good ghostly knowledge, then about 20 minutes into the journey some really peculiar woman who was part of the crew started ranting around... Well what can we say about this, we were only on the bus for, 10 minutes tops. The girl narrator had it in for the 6 of us from the start, she picked on 2 of our party and they hadn't done anything, then other people started to join in, yes we had had a little drink, but nothing major.... More

Rain ..Pouring down but arrived 15 minutes early to bus stop as advised. Crowds of people waiting . Traffic manic so bus arrived late but it is London so to be expected. Made our way to get on bus and informed by ticket collector that we had to have an order number.. And found not board the bus and allocated... More

We had a fun ride on The Ghost Bus Tour on Halloween Monday the 31st. of Oktober at 8 p.m.. Our guide/conductor was so much fun and made the trip a great experience. The loudspeakers on the top floor were too loud though and it ruined it for some of us who sat right on top of the speakers!!

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
