We arranged a private tour of Stonehenge and Bath with Hazel. She met us at the train, provided premium parking and express entry @ Stonehenge and gave an insider's expert viewpoint of Bath. Even my two teenagers were enthralled! Plan on a full day, wear layers and bring snacks/water and a good camera. The phone camera doesn't do justice.

My husband & I were traveling in London with our 3 boys (12, 12 & 9) and were looking for tours that would keep them interested and engaged. We booked the Tower of London for families (Philippa Owen), British Museum for families (Lawrence Owens) and Stonehenge/Bath (Sean Moran) and could not be happier than the experiences they provided for our... I feel a bit guilty about the low rating here, because Context Tours has mostly glowing reviews. I think the huge crowds were the majority of the problem and not necessarily Context Tour itself, but I was hugely disappointed with our tour of the Tower of London. This was an expensive splurge for our family and one of the things... More

Dear Laurie417, Thank you for your feedback. While we're pleased that you felt your docent was knowledgable and kind, we were sorry to read that you felt the experience was different from expected. We do send a client survey after every walk but having not received yours, were not aware there was an issue. Last week was an exceptionally busy... More

We visited the Tower of London with Sarah Jane in March. It was truly a highlight of our trip. To preface this, we were 30 minutes late for our tour (wrong direction on Tube). I was able to email Context in London to let them know, but also realize that time is valuable for anyone. When we finally got to... More

Context's small group, three-hour culinary tour is a foodie's delight. We traveled to the beat of our expert guide and visited Fortnum and Mason, Paxton and Whitfield's cheese shop (where the royals get their cheese), one of London's historic chocolate shops and an Algerian coffee store to name a few. Loved the secret corners of Chinatown, Soho and taste testing... More

This was my first Context tour in London although I have previously done two tours in Paris and two in Rome. I had never done a museum tour because as a lifelong and world-wide museum goer I did not think I needed such a tour. I was wrong. This tour of the British Museum accomplished several things for me: 1.... More

I just got back from a weekend in London, where I was lucky enough to partake in three Context tours. Alan, Simon, and Francesca were all wonderful guides, who all created a fantastic dialogue-based experience where questions are encouraged.

Every member of our family (2 adults, a 16-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl) cited this as a highlight of our week in London. Peter, our tour guide, was charming and unbelievably knowledgeable. When we reserved the tour, we asked him to highlight the economic history of the City. Peter did a great job synthesizing "regular" history with that request. We... More

We had a wonderful tour - Churchill's War Rooms. We brought our 3 children ( all teenagers). It was entertaining, informative, interactive. I think this is the best way to see a city or museum if you can afford it.

Dear MBN1998, I am so happy to read that you and your children enjoyed the tour. WW2 can be such a challenging matter to discuss, especially for children, so I am particularly delighted to know you had a positive experience. Have a great Spring and Summer! Petulia More
