Probably the world's most famous zoo, ZSL London Zoo has been entertaining and delighting visitors since it opened to the public in 1847. With over 720 animal species, exciting and innovative new exhibits and heritage-listed building almost as famous as their inhabitants it's a great day out. See animals in a different light at Rainforest Life; get breathtakingly close to our colony of lowland gorillas and don’t miss the action in the amphitheatre!

OMG fell in Love with this place! Such a well-designed zoo. Went around for 3 hours and felt like a kid again:) they had all kinds of animals but also a house of butterflies where you walk through and they fly around you, an area with smaller monkeys jumping around (I felt a bit like being in Jurassic Park there;),... This Zoo is very historic, and for it's age it's amazing. As someone who works with animals my biggest complaint are that some parts need updating from what they currently are, even if most of the zoo is wonderful and has a very old fashioned aesthetic that I enjoy. But when not analyzing this zoo from a professional standpoint, this... More

Unfortunately the day we chose to visit the zoo was cold and wet, which did not add to the experience. However, I remember this zoo from my own childhood many years ago and was disappointed not to find the elephants and polar bears that I remember. Many of the enclosures appeared to be empty (the animals may have been sheltering... More

London Zoo is deceptively HUGE! I didn't think it would fill up the whole afternoon, but you could easily spend a day there. I was really impressed by the sheer range of animals and environments, and saw lots of animals I'd never seen before, like a sloth! And a very mournful looking kangaroo. It is a little sad to see... This is a very expansive zoo with a couple of areas where you can walk right up to free monkeys and lemurs. Despite that intrigue, there were alot of closed enclosures so check before coming what is closed or open.

This zoo has it all- great animals, so much history and a great location (Regents park is lovely) Wish we had longer, a few hours wasn't enough to see everything.

Lots to do and see. Presentations at various locations throughout the day to inform you about the animals. I was particularly impressed by the BUGS display. Good facilities, restaurants, cafes etc. Easy access to most areas. It will take you the best part of the day to really take the place in.

A lovely day out in London and the zoo is amazing. The improvements made over the last few years are brilliant especially enjoyed the lion experience as they are so many viewing points. The shows are enjoyable but if you want to view these animals quietly it is best to avoid them. The rainforest experience is magical for adults and... More

I have been to many zoos and tend to see the same types of animals over and over again. The London Zoo on the other hand was a bit of surprise. First of all, the zoo is HUGE. We were there for at least 6 hours. At the least. We spent a lot of our time watching the animals that... More
