If you read just a few of my reviews, you'll quickly notice I'm not a fan of crowds. Soho is normally a crowded place, especially on weekends and weeknights. That said, there are some pretty cool hidden restaurants to be found here. And, if you fancy going out afterwards, you're already in a great place. It's also easily accessible by... More

A very large area in the middle of west end with a large selection of international restaurants, bars, and English pubs. We normally go there for lunch during the day ,because it gets very busy during the night. There are also many car parks nearby which are easily accessable. Soho square is very close to Oxford Street, and is very... More

Soho used to be quite seedy. But now there are trendy restaurants, boutiques and people watching galore. Always something to see or do.

Used to be the rough area of London, but now quite upmarket. I preferred it before when the beer was cheap

Soho has a great selection of bars and restaurants which are nice to visit during the day, but is even better during the night. It also is known for its "Gay-friendly" venues.

This is a safe area to walk around even at night but you do see some characters. Great for people watching. Not sleezy at all. China town is in this area.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
