We stumbled upon this little gem of a museum while passing St Thomas's Hospital. You don't have to be passionate about nursing or even have any real interest in Florence Nightingale to enjoy looking at artefacts and other documents belonging to this most famous of...More

I visited this museum with my partner who is a nurse. Set in St Thomas hospital it is well signposted from the outside and reasonably easy to find. The museum cost £7.50 pp for an adult which I thought was slightly expensive. The museum is...More

I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit, although disappointed to hear that you did not find the Museum good value for money, which we do genuinely try to provide. Unfortunately, as a small independent charity which receives no funding from government or elsewhere,...More

Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your visit. Unfortunately our lighting levels need to be restricted for the purpose of conserving the collection. Paper and textiles are particularly fragile and deteriorate dramatically with higher 'lux' levels. In order to not...More

Obviously, nurses will be most taken with this thorough look at her life. But anyone should enjoy learning about this privileged young lady who risked it all to re-invent the science of nursing. The horrid wartime conditions she corrected and the basic healthy food and...More

A good way to honour a remarkable woman. It’s not a massive museum so an hour is plenty of time. When we were there there was an enactment and the lady playing Florence was superb. Enjoyable and informative.
