As Important As Ed Sullivan Theater

A MUST for any Beatle fan! If you are in London, and dont go - shame on you! We, too, went up to Abbey Road and walked across the street, then went to see 3 Savile Row. I found... read more

If you are a Beatles fan, take a quick de-tour and take a picture of the building and possibly go into the store (now a Abercrombie & Fitch children’s store); as the building is Grade II-listed, A&F have not been able to convert the building as they wanted. In more recent times, the only crowds outside this location were groups... More

So great to be able to go inside this famous building and climb the stairs and peruse the rooms, pretending to be interested in posh childrens' clothes! Wondering whether you are standing in the former office of John, Paul, George, Ringo, Peter Brown, Neil Aspinall or Derek Taylor. A superb little Beatles display in the foyer with records and memorabilia.... More

This is the location of one of the most iconic Beatles events. The outdoor, roof top concert where the police eventually shut them down as amazed on lookers from below watched. No, there is not much to see, but you can say that you have been there! This would be the band's last live performance. This is obviously for the... More

Now a posh kids clothes store so the building is now accessible and you can now visit the rooms and walk the mains stairs. There is no access to the roof which is a shame as It would be ideal if they could do something even there was a small charge. There is a little Beatles display in the lobby.

I have walked past this great London Town House many times and always think of the obvious rooftop concert and also of the late and very great Billy Preston who played keyboards.on this and other Beatles sessions. I remember the original Georgian front door being offered in one of Sotheby's early Rock and Roll memorabilia sales in the 1980's When... More

If you're a beatles fan this is a very important place, if not, it's just a normal building with a store. The buildings around were on reform, and it was a bit difficult to find. Also because the building numbers don't follow a sequence, but it's near Piccadilly Circus.

A MUST for any Beatle fan! If you are in London, and dont go - shame on you! We, too, went up to Abbey Road and walked across the street, then went to see 3 Savile Row. I found myself just looking and imagining what it must have been like. Gave me chills. We took the "Big Bus" hop on-... More

A London venue famous as the Beatle’s Apple offices, and of course where they held their (final) rooftop performance. But you can’t go on the roof, in fact you can’t go in the building unless you’ve got business there, so all you can do is look at it from outside. And if you do, it won’t look anything like what... As the site of the their famous rooftop concert, the building at 3 Savile Row is a must see if only as a quick walk by. We walked over from Piccadilly Square after visiting Abbey Road.

Sure you can't go up to the roof or even in the building and I believe the facade is somewhat different (might have had shutters on the windows in 69..) HOWEVER just to stand in front of the building (I took a video and printed off some stills) was for me a pretty religious experience..having read a great book detailing... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
