We did not know this very interesting location existed! If you cannot climb stairs this is NOT for you as it has a stone spiral stair case. If you can then - well worth a visit! This tower was built in 1365 and it is still standing! You can even see some of the original foundation blocks made from wood... More

The Jewel House -- home of the the British Crown Jewels -- is within the grounds of the Tower of London. Our No. 1 tip for visitors is to get the Tower entrance early and when they open, go straight up to the Jewel House. We were able to see the crown jewels several times by riding the moving walk... This was our second visit to the Tower of London. We knew from our first visit in 2013, that if you wanted to visit the Jewel House, it was best to go as early as possible in the day, to avoid a long wait in a queue. Consequently, we arrived at the entrance to the Jewel House mid-morning and were... More

All of the previous five reviews appear to be for 'Jewel Tower' which is part of the old Palace of Westminster, more than two miles away (reviewed separately). They are all wrong, as this review site is clearly for Jewel House which houses the marvellous exhibit of the Crown Jewels in the Tower of London (reviewed separately). You must pay... More

This is just round the corner from Westminster Abbey, opposite the Houses of Parliament. We went as part of the London Pass and had a good look round in about 10 minutes as there was no one else there.

Whilst this English Heritage property does have evidence of its Medieval latrines, they are not available to the public! The nearest ones, according to the lady in the shop at this very small museum, were back at the Westminster underground station, from where we had just come - 50p. charge to use! She pointed out that even the nearby Cafe... More

The Jewel House is quite a small building, depicting the history of the Parliament on 2 floor. Be aware that you have to climb a narrow staircase to see the exhibition, and then you might be forced to stop, and go down or up, to allow others to pass. However, being opposite the House of Parliament is a good stop... More
