Lunch in Oxford Street’s Selfridges flagship means a wide choice of restaurants. The 4th floor self service has Italian, Indian, Asian, Lebanese, Trad Brit Carbery, and a Chop’d counter. It’s all so tempting. I tried and loved the Indian. A stainless steel platter with rice,...More

Selfridge is the second largest department store in London (after Harrods) and definitely worth a visit as well. The store was founded in 1909; the building, in which Selfridges is located, is one of the architectural highlights in Oxford Street. The interior is characterized by...More

I found this store too modern for my liking I much prefer Harrods as it still has that old department store charm

I went to Selfridges simply to see the historic old building as I am a fan of the TV show. The architecture on the outside is stunning (I wish they still made buildings like this), but the inside seems to be mostly covered up by...More

They have an office just for giving out your VAT. However, they did not staff the Dept. Crazy. Tried to get it all the money the owed you used.

We went to Selfridges for the experience ...not to necessarily to do any hard core shopping. Keep in mind it is a store with high end designers and labels so the prices would be high. But as mentioned in other reviews you should get what...More

You may be aware that Selfridges has replaced Harrods for us, and we even like the food halls here as well. The building is nice architecturally from 1909, and is half the size of its Knightsbridge competitor. It is a nice store with something for...More

Decided to visit selfridges. It’s s beautiful building but reasonably boring inside. Totally charmless. No remnants of its exterior charm left inside. Ridiculously expensive shops that few could afford to shop at or people have more sense than to pay huge prices for designer brands.

Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged
between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the
southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of
Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as
pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The
bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it

We were in the store earlier in the day and made a booking at the restaurant for an early dinner before the theatre.
