My sister lined up the London Tavern Trail walking tour while I was in town after having gone on it previously with other family members. John Edwards was our tour guide, and he was great from start to finish. The walking tour went through the back alleys of London, taking us to 4 very historic pubs, all along the way... More

Planning a return visit to London, one of the first things we thought to do was to check with John from London Tavern Trails about doing another tour. This was our third tour with him in four years, seeing a different part of the city each time. It's always such an enjoyable combination of ale, pubs, local history, walking, and... More

Outstanding London Pub Tour! This is a perfect mix of history and experiencing of the true London Tavern scene. We brought 15 people along with us and Mr John Edwards couldn't have been more thoughtful, insightful, funny and expert in his guidance through some of the oldest and most storied pubs in the Fleet district. He gave us time to... More

Our tour with John was on July 2. He recommended a hybrid Holborn/Fleet Street tour and we were not disappointed. Rather, we thoroughly enjoyed the pubs, history of the pubs and surroundings, and the friendly and knowledgable personality of John, who is the owner of London Tavern Trails. There was no rushing and we extended our time because it passed... More

John was a fantastic tour guide around London. We did a private Fleet Street Pub Tour with our family of 6 (kids are 23, 21, 19, 17). We were all impressed with John's knowledge of London, the pubs he took us to and his knowledge of the different beers and ales. The next day we went to a pub for... More

John our guide did an excellent job of showing my wife and I historic London pubs. Easy pace with different beers at each pub. Highly recommend these small group tours where you're not in a crowd.

Our guide was John. He was experienced, passionate and spontaneous. He was able to provide history and additional research about each pub we visited in the Covent Garden area. It was just myself, my husband and teenage son on the tour and we felt like John was a friend by the end. We discussed not only beer but travel, politics... More

Absolutely brilliant. Morris our guide was very knowledgeable about history and the pubs we visited. Gave great advice on beer selection. You were able to tailor your tour to fit your physical needs, how fast to walk, how many breaks, how many pints! I would definitely do this tour if I was back in London - we did the Fleet... More

Great to see this still going strong....and positive. I neglected to review post an Agustin 2012 experience....but have told everyone who will listen about the wonderful evening spent with John, 15 Brits and two Swedes. Great walk, great pubs, great Ale. Met some wonderful folks who by the end of the evening decided to all go to dinner together.....you cannot... More
