I am glad I went by but nothing of the iconic door can be seen by the public as you can see from other reviewers photos. Just the gate out front. Not a loss but not what I really wanted to see.

There is really nothing to see here other than the armed guards at a gated fence. I didn’t even know it was an attraction until I asked someone why people were gathering around a gate. I would suggest not reaching into your backpack while standing...More

Such a great street to wander down. Stop by #10 Downing and see the Prime minsters residence up close. Many great pubs and restaurants. All the government buildings and Westminster Abbey nearby. The Churchill Museum is close. Easy access to St. James Park and the...More

Well it's the seat of Political Power in the United Kingdom, or least that which is currently in the UK. I first viewed the front entrance to Downing Street when I was a long-term resident of London, over 25 Years ago. The ominous Iron gates...More

If you are not in the area, I wouldn't bother attending Downing Street. When we went by, there was loads of police guarding the entrance with guns drawn. Wasn't surprising given the unrest in the Uk during June. Lots of sites nearby so easy to...More

From all of the pictures of 10 Downing Street, I presumed you could walk right up to the Prime Minister's front door. As it turns out, the entire street is blocked off, gated and guarded. I was actually glad to see this from a security...More

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a
grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
