There's a world of enjoyment at Battersea Park Children's Zoo. From feeding the farm animals, spying on the meerkats in the secret lookout, children will have hours of fun. With monkeys, snakes, pigs, donkeys, ring tailed lemurs, parrots, rabbits, emu, chipmunks, coati, wallabies and chickens, plus a fun-packed adventure playground with a real tractor and fire engine, it's a great family day out.

Great family day - the weather helped us have an exciting picnic before watching the feeding of the animals. Lots of interesting facts and also questions answered. I had printed fact sheets (from the website) about each animal and our 5 year old niece became very involved. Melissa became involved in the Easter Egg hunt on our visit. A great... More

It was a nice small zoo, parking was close by providing you use the chelsea gate entrance!! That's only if you find it ( we drove around in circles until we found it) You could get around the entire zoo in one hour. However there is lots of things for the kids to play with so could easily spend 2-3... More

Whilst the rest of Central London is occupied by tourist crowds, the Battersea Park is very quiet and nice. We visited the Children's Zoo and the only downside there that it is quite expensive. But there are a lot of facilities for children, plenty of playgrounds and lots of funny animals. The animal collection is carefully selected to entertain children... More

A lovely zoo in the middle of the lovely park. the zoo is big enough to give you a variety of animals but small enough you (and your toddler) don't get overwhelmed. There was a story telling session on (term break) and they brought a beautiful white bunny in for the kids to pet. What a wonderful experience! Most exciting... More

My little boy was so excited to see animals for the first time that he had only previously seen in books. He was doing monkey impressions all the way home on the train! We particularly enjoyed the meerkats, emus, tamarinds and the coatis. I would have liked a bit more information from the keepers at feeding time but my little... More

Having been to the Zoos sister site in the new forest, we tried the Zoo. What a great afternoon, lots of interesting animals and clearly very popular with mums and toddlers. A definite must see if you are in the park or exploring south of the river. Catering could do with being bigger as it clogs up when there is... More

I was very impressed with the children's zoo as it has a good range of animals but also lots of other things to keep little ones amused. It appeared tidy and well looked after with picnic or cafe options plus a shop. Good value for an enjoyable outing.

Battersea Park is easy to get to by train. There are lots of smaller animals including meerkats. There are places for a picnic, as well as a coffee bar and a large outdoor play area.

Small but very cute little zoo. The prices are very affordable and after the visit there's the Battersea Park itself. The park is huge and beautifully maintained. Great place for a family day out. Car parking (that's about 100 metres away from the zoo entrance) is £5.40 for over 3 hours on a Saturday.
