Popped in when we saw a cocktail sign outside and spent a good hour and a half having nibbles and a couple of drinks. Used to be a tailors in days gone by according to the drinks waiter who volunteered some history as we were having a look at all the detail in he coving, walls and ceiling. Apparently Churchill... Had a tasty 2 course set lunch here. Looks great inside, staff were friendly enough and food was good value, would go back.

Was taken for afternoon tea many years ago & always wondered if it be as for a second time. Was also taken to the Ritz but preferred Browns. I got the chance to go again and if anything it was better. Love the released atmosphere, the attention to detail & fantastic service. Will definitely go again and can't recommend it... More

Me and my friends visited Browns on my trip to London during Easter Holidays and as this was our first time experiencing genuine English Afternoon Tea and we were very pleased of our choice of place. We opted for their Tea-Tox Afternoon Tea menu, which seemed interesting. When we requested staff for re-fill of sandwiches, they told as that at... More

We had afternoon tea here , for a birthday celebration earlier this year. The tables are far too close together, to allow any privacy. Pack lots of people in, feed them, send them out NEXT !! It was like a conveyor belt The choice of teas were ok, but not brilliant. The sandwiches were ok but not good. Very skimped... More

We met friends here and were pleasantly surprised. The breakfast choices were good and the coffee that we were served was excellent. Four of us all ate a good brunch and were able to chat in a good atmosphere and then enjoy a really good glass of punch. As we were leaving the place was filling up with lunch time... More

Lovely piano music in a beautiful traditional English setting and the sweet bites of goodies...ahhhh, the best! Comfortable service and the most relaxing afternoon, not to mention that the scones are warm and delicious.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
