Loved our Stonehenge and Bath tour. Edward was fantastic - funny, insightful, and informative. We had just enough time in both Stonehenge and Bath (not rushed at all as I've seen other tour reviews report). The bus was brand new and very clean and comfortable. The small group really allowed us to explore in a timely manner - not hindered... More

Edward, our tour guide, was informative, funny, and accurate. His academic background - both research and excavation experience - make him an excellent guide for the stone circles. In Salisbury he lets you explore the cathedral (including an outstanding original Magna Carta) on your own. Worth the money.

As an archaeologist, it is important to me that guides present accurate information about the sites they take us to, and it is my belief that Archaeologist Guided Tours did that very well. The tour was guided by an archaeologist that has done field work in the area, and is very familiar with the archaeology of the sites. This tour... More

I joined the Stonehenge, Bath, and Avebury tour with Edward in September 2016. Edward was very informative and gave a fascinating introductory to Stonehenge, combining archaeology with historic insights and modern references. This is a small group tour and there was enough time to enjoy all sights. We had about 2 hours of free time in Bath, which was perfect... More

This is a great tour and you definitely get your money's worth. It is more than the other tours but you feel it throughout your day with your tour guide providing you lots of knowledge. Kim was my tour guide and she was very well-informed and nice! It's a long day but you can nap in between stops :)

I admit I've slacked on writing this review, but I figured better late than never! My family and my sister's family took a tour with Edward in August 2014 and it was one of the best tours we've ever taken. My brother in law said it was the best part of the whole trip to England and Scotland, and he... More

Had a fantastic small group tour to Stonehenge, Avebury and Kent. Led by a real archaeologist Tom who really makes the sites come alive. Our group had the maximum 18 people allowed. So much better than a big bus tour to Stonehenge.

Excellent tour done by the archaeologist! Kim was our guide and she did an excellent explanations detailing the history and connection between the links of ancient time to modern days. I haven't been on other tours with other local companies but if you want to learn the insights and history of these magnificent landmarks, I believe going with archaeologist is... More

Tom was our archaeologist who was very informative and made the trip so much more than simply going and observing on our own. We learned a lot of history. Tom was very energetic and fun and our driver, Steve, was awesome, too. I would certainly recommend this tour. Well worth it.

Our tour of Stonehenge, Bath and Avebury was the highlight of our trip to London. Touring with Edward who is exceptionally knowledgeable and also extremely enthusiastic about the sites made the tour a joy. Why tour with just any guide when you can tour with an expert? I wholly recommend "Tours From Antiquity."

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
