Join me, Stephen Burstin, for a fascinating experience that delights both Jewish and non-Jewish visitors to London as well as locals. Click on Website (in blue above here) and see the highlights of my various tours, each one informative and entertaining for all ages from my tours in the Old Jewish Quarter of London's East End which reveal the incredible story of the Jewish community to my exciting tours featuring London's famous landmarks (with Jewish connections too) such as Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, Houses of Parliament etc. There's also fabulous Hampton Court Palace and Windsor Castle. As a tour guide for 25 years, I delight in sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for London, especially its Jewish heritage.

What a great and interesting way to see the East End specifically from a Jewish perspective. A thoroughly entertaining and informative tour led by Stephen Burstin. The time flew by. I can thoroughly recommend this tour.

We took a tour of the Jewish East End of London. The tour lasted 2.5 hours. Stephen speaks in a very clear and easily understandable way. His language is clear, concise, evocative, and descriptive. Stephen's pacing is very good, meaning, the amount of information he gives, the spacing in his sentences, and the spacing between stops on the tour. The... More

We participated in the 'standard' Jewish walking tour. This tour offers you a fantastic opportunity to delve into the history of Jews in London. Stephen is a wealth of knowledge and very personable to boot. Highly recommend this tour.

Stephen is an extremely personable and energetic guide, offering up both cultural and historic anecdotes as we walked through the old Jewish quarter of London. The tour lasts about two to two-and-a-half hours and is quite interesting -- our group included not only tourists from America and Israel, but even two locals.

Entertaining and informative, a good blend of anecdotes of colourful characters and history. I thought I was reasonably knowledgable but still learned a lot, particularly "hidden" signs of Jewish life in the East End.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
