Really nicely done; tasteful and understated

We visited and were impressed with the tasteful design and idea of recognizing those from small and large places; where they fought and where they fell. A nice tribute.

A nice made memorial in Wellington Arch area. It represents the participants in Australian war.. Adding a beautiful corner to the arch

The Australian War Memorial is reminding each of its visitor about all the cities in the world from which each Australian hero who died in the war. The monument looks simple, a thing that makes it a little bit different from the other memorials and statues in the Hyde Park Corner.

Very cleverly designed memorial for Australian troops who didn't return home after both world wars. It consists of a curved monument made up of grey granite which looks quite sobering and has the names of towns and cities from which these troops came from. It also has the names of the Australian battles of these wars. There's also some subtle... More

Some of the memorials are very overpowering and you don't need effort to see and be impressed by them. This one is impressive for its simple design and draws you to it for that reason.

I may be going against the grain here but I found this memorial disappointing to say least. I don't believe all towns listed are actually in Australia and the water feature only on a tiny bit of the wall lacks meaning for me. Perhaps there's needs to be a greater detailed description in front of the memorial.

One of the several war memorials located in Green Park is dedicated to more than one hundred thousand Australian casualties in the First and Second World Wars. The granite stones are inscribed with the names of towns from which those soldiers came to fight the war and their most important battles in world wars.

I have seen many war memorial but I must say this one is very unique in design being semi circle in design and granite. It has the names of Australian battles and the names of towns were our troops came from located at Hyde Park Corner well worth finding and remembering our forces how never returned to Australia.

This is a different style of memorial to remember those who lost their life serving for Australia. This memorial has the names of all the towns from where Australian service personnel came. The major problem is it is their birth town. I didn't know the person of my interest was born 50 kms from where he and his sibling grew... More

There's a cluster of things to see on this hidden roundabout on Hyde Park Corner. This memorial is well kept, clean and nicely presented. We looked at this with all the other monuments as a colleague and I went to walk and talk out of the office.
