Lovely little mini zoo, and perfect for younger children to wander around. Small free car park and lots of open space near by to burn off their energy. Great place for popping in after school during the summer months or for a couple of hours at the weekend. Staff friendly and helpful. Lots of community involvement projects seem to be... More

We decided to take our child here, as we haven't been here since we were kids and wanted to see what it was like. One thing I was surprised at was the car park (limited spaces) and the children's zoo was FREE! There is a donation section in the zoo, but unfortunately while we were there we didn't see anyone... Came here for a few hours with my daughters and granddaughter on the recommendation of someone who hadn't been here for twenty years or more!!! Although there was a lot of building work going on. we still saw the meerkats and the fascinating Mara's (a cross between a rabbit and a deer) and a few other animals. We really enjoyed... More

Had a very nice picnic. The park is very clean and tidy. Children enjoyed the little animal zoo also really enjoyed the maze. There is a shop and public toilet. Down side is: 1. Parking is a big issue almost impossible to find parking. 2. There is no water fountain if there is any I couldn't see it. Overall this... More

Have visited this park for a number of years. We were regulars when our children were small. Now we are grandparents take our grandchildren. What we like about this park is everything the way it's kept clean. It is a huge place with a mini zoo which currently has peacocks, lemurs, birds, budgies, goats, hens, cockerels, chicks, ducks, and more.... More

My first visit we loved the Lemur Catta. And the meerkat they were so cute. They are working in a few area's presumably for new residents. They have a nice cafe spotless clean at reasonable prices. Next time we will take the camera!

Ok, this place has its good & bad points... Don't go with high expectations of the "mini zoo". The paddocks/cages were very poorly maintained, overgrown, large rats in one of the big bird cages eating their food. Ducks have the smallest 'pond' (puddle) of water I've ever seen... The female toilets were smelly with not much loo roll, God knows... More

As soon as we entered, we came across a bouncy castle, the cafe and the children's play area. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the climbing frames, slides and swings. We then went for got some lunch. The cafe catered for vegetarians, we got a cheese and tomato panini, jacket potato with cheese and beans and pasta(not sufficient portion imo). We then... More
