Stumbled across this on a rainy day and it kept the kids (6&8) entertained for 2.5 hours no problem. The whole basement level is Star Wars! Picked up some exclusive items. Also the old crayons color change markers have been bought and redistributed by hamleys so that was a nice vintage find. Loads of demo booths and good prices and... More

Unbelievable what a big store full of toys. It's looks like a theme park. The staff is playing with the toys, doing tricks. You'll not leave without buying a present. One remark: be carefull what you buy, the tricks they show you look very easy. But for children it's often very difficult to do at home. So they can be... More

Evidently, no fire code laws of the number of people allowed in one building. It was a madhouse with screaming kids and people side by side you and the smallest elevator ever to get from floor to floor. They had tons of different toys but sold out of items I was searching fro my grandsons :(

Regent Street is a fun street to stroll and shop. This store is one of its highlights. Five stories of toys. How can you beat this! There's a bit of aggressive salesmanship when you enter the store, but that was part of the charm. Cool stuff for sale. We did buy some things to bring back to our grand children,... More

A wonderful wonderful shop for kids and for grown ups as well! It's great to just wander round looking at the goods for sale and taking in the marvellous atmosphere. Prices are high but this is to be expected. The staff are always so friendly and helpful, and genuinely look as though they are having a lot of fun. Not... More

Having lived in London as a child, I was amazed to find I had never been to Hamleys, and even more surprisingly I say I would enjoy it more as an adult. With so much to do and see I could definitely spend a full day just walking around and enjoying the surroundings. The kids got in the way of... More

Got here early to avoid the rush as a treat for the little ones for a great weeks behaviour. Exactly as it was when I was a kid but with better toys. Staff were superb, range excellent, but does get busy quick as you would expect. Keep eye of your little ones as saw two couples there who "lost" their... More

Myself and my boyfriend spent an fun hour or so wandering around this place, so many floors to explore. Would be a childs dream! Especially liked the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings replicas.

I went there before Easter I got 2 laser guns for my son and his cousin, a plastic fish for my 16 moths old and 2 paper planes for the boys again. The laser guns was meant to be reduced from £18 to £12, in waitrose found the exact same product, same brand and it was already £12 and the... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
