Walking along the Thames is always pleasant (in good weather that is), and this time we walked along the embankment of the Thames in Southwark, something altogether new to me, from London Bridge to Millenium Bridge. This is quite a leisurely walk, and you will...More

Four of us took the cruise from Richmond to Westminster late afternoon. Not expensive either (£10 with travel card) and worth every penny. We had taken a train out to Richmond from city centre and spent some time in Richmond. All very good but the...More

This river seems to be the heart of London. We've already walked up and down, crossed a number of it's bridges, taken a cruise along it, eaten beside it, taken photos, watched the buskers and been amazed by the number of summer visitors doing the...More

Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the
reasons that Southbank is such a collectively
cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly
activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized

I haven't travelled to Richmond myself but note that there is a London River Service Map which details all river services. See the londontoolkit. Travelling by riverboat is certainly hassle free. Hope you enjoy your journey
