Awesome screenand fantastic sound.

This was my first visit at the BFI IMAX. We saw Beauty and the Beast in 3D. The experience was far better than expected, it was amazing. Next Star Wars will be seen on BFI IMAX.

Had tickets to see Beauty & The Beast on Mothers Day 2017 and saw it in 3D at the BFI IMAX.... Firstly, you are struck by how pleasant the cinema building is, there's a well stocked bar and all the usual cinema accoutrements such as drinks and popcorn The actual screen room is impressive with what the presenter told us... What a great place to watch Beauty and the Beast. Absolutely wonderful film and a great place to watch it. It's a definite 'MUST SEE' if you are thinking about going. The 3D image is amazing for this great film. Loved every moment.

I've been here a bunch of times to see all sorts from The Dark Knight to 'Underwater 3D' and I've always enjoyed my experience, although I have to say some more than others, and it always boils down to where you sit. Too far forward and it will significantly hamper your enjoyment, with such a big screen you simply cannot... More

Really big screen and excellent sound system. Perfect cinema for big blockbusters. - before the movie started a member off staff came out and gave a bit info about the movie and the cinema. Where to exit, toilets etc.. really good! Gave a better experience - a guy decided to use his cellphone during the movie. The staff stopped that... More

The BFI is a wonderful place that, as you'd expect, has an eclectic, interesting program of films. The IMAX is, of course, a wonderfully immersive way to enjoy film. I saw Avatar here years ago and the huge screen in 3D suited it perfectly. However the best event I've been to here was a screening of 'Boyhood' featuring a Q&A... More

Watched Suicide Squad here which was great. We had a host who introduced everything dressed as the Joker and was in character. He got a few laughs and was a nice start and introduction to explain cinema etiquette. The experience was great, although its pretty pricey - its worth doing for your favorite films. I've now booked to go watch... More

We watched The Great Wall in this Imax cinema, and the experience was superb! I felt like that this was the best Imax cinema that I have visited so far. The staff is also polite and they seemed to be caring very much about the customers. They also have a very fine policy towards the Imax glasses they provide. Rather... More

Went to IMAX, fantastic screen and superb sound. If you enjoy the cinema it was a good experience. The boys particularly loved the black storm trooper models.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon screening of Rouge one. Great experience. The only issue I have is with how rude people are. Why continuously kick someone's seat? Especially when you have been asked not too. Why leave rubbish all over the floor? Do you do that at home????. I'm not a big cinema fan and the Imax didn't really change... More

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
