Great evening!

We were at The Borderline to see Alistair Griffin. It's a small venue but has been renovated nicely so facilities are good.

Borderline used to be good, grimy but good. No frills, lots of character and always a good fun. We went out to Borderline on a Saturday and sadly found out that it's just another victim of franchise corporate refurbishment. It's just another expensive and sterile central London club. Definitely not going back.

The door-men are rude and aggressive at this club. Also, as another reviewer is saying, here you will experience trash sound and bad acoustic. I wonder why this club is allowed to stay open longer than the others in the area at week-ends... Definitely they don't deserve it!

We visited The Borderline on it's opening weekend since it's relaunch last week, it has had a big refurbishment including new sound system, bar and general interiors. The venue flows better and feels clean and modern. Great drinks at reasonable prices and it also now has a great seating area, which the venue lacked previously.

Its a club, the area is a bit big for the customer, they have performance on stage, I got unlucky cause the day I visited they put kind of punk and emo bands, so it was trash sound and bad acoustic. The drinks are expensive inside. Wont go back in this place, not worth it.

In my opinion as an ex London fire fighter I think this place is downright dangerous, if there had been any kind of incident here the chances of getting out safely were pretty much zero unless you were standing right next to a fire exit. I had been to the Borderline several years ago when it was a much larger... More

A great night with Charlie Winston (Platinum in France, crazily unheard of in the UK!) playing his first London set in years. With Sam Walker as support act, and Charlie's drummer, the evening was set for some of the best contemporary folk pop. The Borderline is a good venue to see a band. The "stepping" of the area around the... More

It was a great night of music, with Tor Miller, and The Strumbellas performing to the highest level. The venue is a great size, its nice and allows all guests to be close to the band. The only down side is the temperature, everyone was far too hot. It even became an ongoing joke with the bands.

Really good fun, pretty cheap drinks, especially for central London and great atmosphere. Only complaint is the music was a real cheese fest. With good music this club would be perfect.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
