Either way, the Union Chapel is a great place to visit but its difficult to respond to the normal TripAdvisor questions. You can attend a church service free and without reservation but its not quite the same with concerts. See what I mean? Anyway, a fabulous and really interesting building which I would like to explore properly. However, we went... More

Church by day, venue by night. It looks gorgeous, sounds amazing, feels great! What a pleasant surprise this place was.

This is an edgy venue for music. We went to see the Neil Cowley Trio with Spacebound Apes. I have to say it was rather weird, a cross between jazz and rock. Nevertheless the acoustics are fantastic and the concert thought provoking. There was a major problem in getting everyone past the check-in and so the start was considerably delayed.... More

A really unique venue for a concert. Beautiful church with high ceiling & stained glass windows. Sat on pews to watch Lloyd Cole (an excellent acoustic concert), but totally embellished by superb location (great acoustics as well). Bar upstairs (in practising church) feels a bit weird (but happily cannot bring drinks into main arena - feels right somehow).

Music is a passion but large venues with endless queues going in and coming out are not really my thing. Having been to other smaller venues around town Union Chapel is unique. It is beautiful - and a must see for those who love architecture and beautiful buildings - it is now a Grade 1 listed building and dare I... More

A Victorian era church developed into a beautiful and unique performance venue. My family and I visited there over the summer for a Moth performance and had a pre performance dinner in the associated cafe. A very nice evening all the way around. Floor level seating was in typical church pews, so a bit hard on the backsides, but all... More

You can't not be impressed. This is a working place of worship that doubles as a venue - even with it's own bar. But the seating is uncomfortable and we left a show early because of that.

Location is great. The food is okay. The comedy show was unfortunately not the funniest. Worth visiting, it's a really special place.
