We were in the open air theatre with a booking just two days in advance. The location is sooo nice. Very romantic and lovely. It's possible to bring your own food with you to enjoy it before the theatre. There are also a lot of food and drink options. We booked the Gin experience which was absolutely great! Reserved little... More

This theatre and the setting are just beautiful. It's our first trip to this theatre to see On the Town, and wow we loved every minute of it. You walk up to the entrance which looks all unassuming, but as soon as you walk through its like being transported into a festival theatrical experience. As the show starts and the... More

We saw On The Town and even though the theatre was full to capacity it is always good natured and relaxed. The show itself was magic - energetic, colourful and exuberant with a wonderful ensemble cast. The multi layered set was very imaginatively used and the transition from daylight to darkness adds to the experience of being outside in a... More

Saw On The Town and it is very well directed and choreographed. Yes, it is a period piece, so accordingly is dressed beautifully within the period (late 1940's). But that also allows for an old fashioned attitude towards women, which seems at odds with modern thinking. Go with it and enjoy a super show - make allowances for this being... More

Go online well before the date of the performance you wish to attend and book your actual seat. Turn up early and enjoy a wine and a snack pre-show as everything is available at the venue. Be prepared for changeable weather so ensure you take a warm jacket, regardless of what the weather forecast predicts. If you get caught you... More

So nice to sit outside and enjoy a musical. You need good weather otherwise it will be cold. You can buy what you need here for keeping warm even blankets. A nice entertainment for a summer evening in London.

Spent a great evening watching the production of On The Town at this lovely open air theatre, Book a picnic or bring your own. Bar service and hot food also available. Sit at the outside tables and seating before the performance and at the interval. Show was all the more charming and magical for being in an outside auditorium surrounded... More

Objectification of women, beauty pageants. Over simplistic juvenile falling in love with a photograph of a woman story line. A gay encounter portrayed as shameful and upsetting. Oh and the main females are rampant sex maniacs. Honestly, the whole production made me so grateful that the Zeitgeist and moved on and we now live in more enlightened times. If you're... More

Going to a n open air theatre in May leaves you open to the vagaries of the English weather. Though a bit nippy, the rain stayed away. The show was excellent. A great cast, big songs & dance routines & a clever set that even included the collapsing dinosaur! Fabulous, classic musical, complete with breeze in the trees & bird... More
