We popped in here for a quick drink as a family group. There was a wide range of beers and ales and had the feel of a real traditional pub. Pub was very busy and cramped and in need of a bit if an update but suitable for a quick drink. The pub also offered a vegan/vegetarian menu although we... More

I really wanted to love this pub! I mean, a Vege/vegan only pub.... In central London!!! I was very excited about coming here. We came for lunch and had the tofish and chips. It was nice (though the chips were slightly lacklustre. However there was absolutely NO atmosphere in this pub. It had the feel that it was about to... More

Met friends after work on a Wednesday evening in the pub as it not far from all our workplaces. Good selection of beers and spirits. But the highlight of the evening is the sing song around the piano, and the vast variety of people that come by for it.

I used to to this pub very often but I recently had the misfortune to make the acquaintance of the spectacularly ill-bred proprietor. I suppose he thinks he is carrying on in the tradition of the famous Norman Balan, the previous proprietor, but the difference is that Mr Balan was cantankerous with style and this wretched individual is, simply sordid... Went in for a quick few pints on a Wednesday night as I know they always have a piano sing-a-long and the atmosphere is great! Bar service was fast even though they were busy and everyone was having a roaring time from young to old. Much better going to an old school bar like this than a boring chain pub.

Whilst in London my boyfriend and I popped into the pub's Secret Tea Room. All I can say is AMAZING. Great food, fabulous service and a wonderful décor.

I came here with a friend for a late Sunday lunch. We both went for the tofush and chips which seemed to be really popular and I can see why! It was so tasty and the portion size was impressive. Staff were friendly and helpful and although I can't remember what it cost, I know it was fairly priced. I... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
