There was so much to do and see here it filled our day with a little bit of something to please everyone. Cafe is well priced and food is lovely. The gift shop is not too expensive either. Park in the Castle Mall car park...More

We had a great time at yhe castle. Lots of different exhibits. As it was the summer holidays there were extra childrens activities on based around a selected theme. We will defo be returning.

Visited the Castle with my Son, lots to see and all very interesting. Trip to the dungeons was great and very interesting. Well worth a visit

Very impressive to look at externally and plenty to see inside. Well laid out and easy to navigate we passed a very pleasant three hours looking round. Only negative point on the visit was lunch, admittedly we were a little outside the popular eating time...More

The old castle itself is something to see; the cavernous central chamber on two levels is impressive. The galleries are cleverly organised and full of all sorts of interesting things. Taxidermy may not be your thing, but the range of animals on display is huge....More
