I've never taken a train before so arriving in York on the train was easy because of the workers available to answer questions and help direct you. The workers on the trains are very kind as well!

Pleasant train station with all the amenities you would expect apart from a left luggage office. Easy access to taxis and buses.

The layout of the train station put me at ease straight away with very well labelled signs for each platform and many convenient shops especially Starbucks which an amazing range of unique sandwiches! The station also had many boards displaying all the information for hours...More

York station is a remarkable one. It is served by different train companies, with quite a lot of different services to multiple places. The station itself is beautiful; however, it doesn't offer much in terms of shops and restaurants...

Nice railway station, arched roof. Good facilities and helpful staff. Costa coffee shop on the bridge highly recommended for people watching if you have time to kill and Tap on the station good for a pint if you prefer.

Find the lift to take you to the platform and exit when you have luggage. Centrally located and it is only 10 minutes from the old town by foot.

York Station is a great Railway Station with atmosphere and a historic structure. Two Pubs, several coffee shops at the station so a very pleasant station.

The station is perfectly good but the road outside is a real bottleneck and trying to get across the road to get buses, taxi's or to a car that is picking you up is a nightmare.

Yes there's a food shop selling drinks, sandwiches etc. Also a WH Smith, a pasty shop, a pub and lots of kiosks. No problem getting a drink.
