I stayed here for a week during a workshop and was absolutely happy with the food they served. Staff was also super friendly and the college gardens are pretty. The only downside was the noise levels in the rooms. But a pretty sight with a nice cafe from a tourists point.

The college itself is one of the oldest in Oxford. Like other colleges, it is easy to miss the entrance. Unlike other colleges, you can visit the chapel, food hall, and wander the beautiful grounds. Not as grand as other colleges but also not as many visitors so this college is a lot more laid back to visit. Definitely worth... More

Well worth the concessionary fee I paid for a privileged look around this very old college, The chapel and refectory were particularly interesting.

No visit to the beautiful English provincial city of Oxford, located in the Thames Valley some sixty miles West of London, would be complete without a quick tour of (at least) one of the thirty-eight separate and distinctive colleges which together comprise the world-famous University. Most of the colleges are located in, or close to, the city centre and -... More

You can get a good flavour of the activities here, some of the parts are not accessible due to students learning, but there are some lovely sights in the halls.

This college is in a nice location and worth visiting. It's one of the oldest colleges with some nice buildings mostly in a gothic style.

Lovely place, very friendly porter. Chapel was beautiful with gorgeous stained glass windows. The dining hall was the inspiration for Hogwarts dining hall. Stunning.

Balliol is the oldest college in Oxford and it has that charisma. It is otherwise closed for public but we fortunately got a chance to have dinner there. The dining hall reminded us of Hogwarts, a magnificient dining hall filled with activity. I just fell in love. If anyone gets a chance, a must visit.

Upon entering Balliol College, I was impressed by the architecture and the friendliness of the porters. I immediately headed towards the dulcet tones of Mariah Carey in their JCR, excited for an opportunity to sample their Bop. Immediately, I knew my error. I was shocked and appalled to discover their extortionate Bop Juice pricing (£2 for 1 cup £5 for... More

You can pay a few quid to take a look around Balliol as you can with the other 36 colleges? that constitute Oxford University. It's interesting to know the history of various alumni and see which college they attended. The city is one of the best in the UK, complete with history, character and architectural gems. It also has a... More
