It's terrible to see how much this pub has changed. A once lively spot now has no atmosphere and has been stripped of its character. The beer was flat and there was no toilet seat in the ladies'. It's not that hard to run a...More

A once great boozer, reduced to a shambolic dump. Filthy, badly stocked. Asked for a sherry (not an unusual request in a pub), bar person didnt know what sherry was. No Guiness because she couldnt chabge the barrel as she was pregnant. Another waste of...More

Perhaps the last great small pub in Oxford . Tiny in comparison to others but always a great atmosphere with friendly staff . Range of drinks limited by the space available to serve them .

One of the last traditional folk Irish pubs. Great atmosphere, fun people, nice ales, warm welcome. Thanks for Steven and Connor for the great evening!

Wow, I have just started this review after having read the (obscenely ignorant) comments below of another (disgustingly privileged) attender of the Sunday evening folk session and, like several other reviewers have pointed out, people could not be missing the point more. The bar staff...More

Went for a pint after 11 o'clock. When ordering a second round I was simply ignored by the staff. Following my complaint I was told that I can wait. Finally I was told that I would be rude and they would no longer serve me....More
